Childology is a space dedicated to illuminating and embracing the best of childhood, every moment, every day. It is a collection of stories, writings, and reflections on children and childhood. Here you’ll also find links to my professional development workshops, some resources for use with little ones, and more. Welcome to Childlogy.
Childology is grounded in a love for play, creativity, nature, storytelling, and a deep respect for emotional experience, we provide resources to families and educators seeking a deeper practice with children. We are so glad you are here!
“…fantasy play provides the nourishing habitat for the growth of cognitive, narrative, and social connectivity in young children…” - Vivian Paley

Hi! I’m Ron, the creator of Childology.
I am a preschool educator and researcher by trade who made this space to provide resources, and help to parents, caregivers, families, and teachers seeking to develop their practice with young children. I am passionate about the value of play, the importance and beauty of nature, and am a strong proponent of the belief that children are active co-constructors of their own (and communal) knowledge. I am drawn to pedagogies that emphasize relationship, reflection and that embrace each and every one of the hundred languages of childhood.
I know that it takes a village to raise a child, and I hope you’ll be a part of this one.
